For every receiver who’s ever popped up and celebrated a 4-yard gain…
For every basketball player who’s ever danced when down by 30…
For every ‘roided up hitter, flipping a bat…
For Usain Bolt…
For Leon Lett…
For all you cocky bastards…
This video says it all.

As much as I want that prancing douche getting knocked out to be real, unfortunately the clip is from the movie “Never Back Down”…

As much as it pisses me off to watch Reyes and his exuberant celebrations, I would love for that to happen to Rollins (and this comment has nothing to do with his “front runners” comment).
Ever notice when he’s on third with less then two outs and some hits a ball to the gap. The last 10 feet from third to home he will SLOWLY walk to the plate. Just run the damn 90 feet and get off the base paths.
Please tell me someone else has noticed that.

soss that is a dumb comment if i have ever seen one. why would u run out a 2 out ball into the gap that you know if it is caught it doesnt matter and if they dont catch it you could walk home while eating a slice of pizza. who the hell cares if he doesnt run the last ten feet out. So what happens if he runs it out then pulls a hamstring? You would prolly say why the hell were you running!! idiots

Because you’re supposed to hustle. They’re being paid millions of dollars to play a game. I just used that as one example of many that Rollins doesn’t hustle. He cares more about looking cool because he’s J-Roll. And he likes to “jump in his Cadillac” and strut. He needs to just play the damn game and that’s it. Hit a homerun, drop the bat (don’t flick it) and get around the bases as fast as you can. Stop acting liek a cocky asshole.
No one plays the game anymore the way it’s supposed to, and that annoys me.

The game has changed… the players have changed… the fans have changed. The MLB loves that the players all try and have their own personality (flamboyant or otherwise) because that is what attracts fans (fans = $). Some guys embrace it, others don’t. Chase is as stone-faced as they come and wouldn’t show emotion to anyone if he didnt have to do Comcast commercials every week. Rollins and Howard were on mlb.com the other week doing a beat-box rendition of “take me out to the ballgame”. Fact is, you can’t have it both ways- you either praise the guys for their attitudes/performances/celebrations/etc and choke down the fact that the players are out there for themselves- they are getting paid to play a game, and they get paid more to be fancy when they do it. Case and point- Manny Ramirez.

Or- you can give up on baseball and watch a sport where the players aren’t allowed to be like that- if you can find one. Hockey is about as close as it gets. Maybe golf. Or just watch pro sports in a communist country.
